We tend to go to the office thinking it's going to happen. At the end of the day, we spent many hours there in our house and everything bad that can happen we never seem to be related to our health but to our future work. However, last week we saw the news that the company Gas Natural had to close its headquarters in Barcelona for a couple of days because some of its employees filed a strange markings on the legs.

As reported by ABC on March 10, is not the first time these symptoms occur in the workplace. In 1995, KBC Bank workers, Brussels, presented the same characteristics and were

found to suffer semicircular lipoatrophy caused by excessive static electricity. ABC says that in 95% of people who have the disease, lipoatrophy is reversible and damaged tissue is regenerated, however, the remaining 5% can have some complications if you have had other illnesses in the past.

Such cases occur by what is known as Sick Building Syndrome that occurs in some buildings that have a poor moisture-less than 40% or above 60% - above 23 degrees and an incorrect lighting (eg fluorescent) .

The symptoms that cause this type of buildings are the red eyes, nasal obstruction, lack of concentration and dry throat, all of which disappear upon leaving the workplace. Anyway, no need to panic and if you have any doubts it is best to contact specialist sites such as the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health at Work, or of the Catalan Association of Sick Building Syndrome and above However, with the advice of a doctor.
